“Steve’s” rant about phone numbers is intriguing. He posted this on 3 February 2008 and expanded into an exciting capitalized-filled ramble several days afterwards. What’s up with that? Let’s examine some of those mysterious things called ‘facts’:
1). The blogger formerly known as “The_Gay_Dude” started blogging in 2004 and revealed that his name was Mark Whitecotton. Later he said that his real name was Marc Luetkemeyer. He posts two photographs of himself on his blog ‘VoyeurNation,’ which “Steve” deleted from the internet sometime after August 2007.
2). A Marc Whitecotton published a profile on the internet in August 2004, submitting his photograph. You can view this at the Virtual Tourist website http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/800b1/. The photograph matches the two photographs posted by “Marc Whitecotton/Marc Luetkemeyer” on his ‘VoyeurNation’ blog. ”Steve Pulignani” uses one of the latter photographs in an appeal to raise cancer funds after “Marc’s” “death” on 20 August 2006, widely distributing it to numerous blogs.
3). There are these magical things called phone directories. By magic, we mean that someone magically collects phone numbers and alphabetizes them for archaic print editions or places them in a computer database for fancy-schmancy online editions. Go to the WhitePages.com website and type in “Mark Whitecotton” and an entry for ”M Whitecotton” living in Pikesville, Maryland comes up. Go ahead, try it! Amazingly enough, this is free, open, public information. Anyone with access to a computer can do so. People living in the Baltimore area can pick up a magical print edition and thumb throught it and locate the same number. Whitecotton Tales has never needed to publish the complete phone number, since it is widely available at numerous other telephone listing websites, some of which indicate this phone number is registered to “Mark Whitecotton” instead of “M. Whitecotton.”
4). “Steve Pulignani” corresponded with several individuals in the summer of 2007, providing several men with his phone number. Two individuals, who had never corresponded or met, provided the same exact phone number that “Steve” used. Surprisingly, this is the same exact number that comes up when you search “Mark Whitecotton” on Whitepages.com.
5). “Steve” made arrangements to meet with at least three different individuals in the period between June and August 2007. In each case he found reasons not to show up for these meetings. As an example, here is what one man had to say in an August 2007 email:
“He contacted my on MySpace and we spoke on the phone for over an hour. Honestly, he sounded like a normal, 39-year-old guy…. I always had wondered about his pics because they look like different people on his MySpace profile. His main pic has obviously been photo-shopped. Anyway we were to meet downtown near where he supposedly lives. He emailed me a couple hours prior telling me he couldn’t wait to meet. He then stood me up, leaving me sweating and pacing for an hour in front of the café. Later he said he was rushed to the ER with hives! I’ve since been deleted from all of his blogs during that period with a push of his delete button. I had deleted him from my MySpace about two weeks ago after having suffered what was the fifth excuse explaining why he hadn’t called me back. I also found out a friend of mine who is also on MySpace has a similar story to mine with him! He faked an illness as not to meet him.“
There are (many) unanswered questions that only “Steve” can answer:
A). Why does “Steve” use the same phone number listed for Mark Whitecotton? On the blogs created by both “Steve” and “Marc,” both claimed they owned their own homes. It is very peculiar that “Steve” would use someone else’s name for his phone listing, especially since this number was in use prior to “Marc’s” reported death on August 20, 2006. One wonders why “Marc” would allow “Steve” to use his name for the telephone number, since that would have created a myriad of mis-dialed phone numbers.
B). Why does “Steve” insist he only gave his phone number out to only one person, stating his phone records support this, when this is factually incorrect? “Steve” really needs to review his phone records for the pertinent time period to determine who he called.
C). Perhaps more importantly, why does ”Steve/Joshua/Marc/Bailey/Gary” continue his charade? Why does he continue to call other people liars when it has been shown over and over again that he (whoever he is) is the one fabricating stories and distorting actual events?
He’s an odd man indeed. He continues to suggest that I keep “hijacking” his blogs – however, I’ve not commented on his blogs in months.
It would appear that Marc Whitecotton is not dealing with a full deck.
He’s unstable.
